Connect my bath to the Brass Monkey app

Step by step instructions to connect your bath to the Brass Monkey companion app. This is your Brass Monkey’s best friend. Once paired to the app and connected to your wifi, your bath gets even smarter

Before setting up

  • Check you have a good wifi signal in the area your bath is located.  If not you may need to install a signal repeater.
  • You will need to locate the QR code inside the service area of your bath.
  • Download the app from the app store or from the link here.

Now you have that sorted you can go ahead and ‘pair’ your bath with the app
  • Open the app and follow the instructions on screen.
  • To control your bath via the app, it will need to be connected to wifi. You'll be guided through how to do this in the setup steps on the app. 

Troubleshooting

  • Check you have wifi signal and bluetooth is switched on.
  • Is the bath switched on and working?  Take a quick look at the control panel to see if the display is on and that you are able to control the bath using the manual controls.  If the bath is switched on but the controls are not working please contact our support team.
  • Are you stood in range of the bath?  You will need to be stood next to the bath when pairing to the app.
  • Signal strength - take a look at the wifi signal strength that your phone is receiving from the wifi.  Usually displayed at the top right corner of your phone.  If the signal strength is low you will need to install a repeater or similar to improve the signal where your bath is located.
  • Signal type is important.  Check the back of your router to make sure it is running on a 2.4ghz signal.
  • Check that your wifi router is 2.4ghz  (look at back of router)
  • If the App is trying to ‘find’ the bath and you are met with a spinning symbol close the app and relaunch, follow the steps to ‘add’ your bath.
  • Try a power cycle by switching the bath off at the power socket and switching it back on again.  Repeat the steps to ‘add’ the bath.
