      How to: empty clean and refill

      This guidance is for: SPA Grade models which are identifiable by the filtration type.  Your SPA grade unit will have a large media filter unit.

      • Never allow pump to run dry
      • Never remove more than 2/3 of water whilst in back wash position.
      •  Always ensure the chiller fuse spur is the first and final step of the process.
      • Always open the filling tap to the bath before open the water main
      • Turn the water main off before turning the filling tap back into the closed position.

       



      1. Turn off chiller fuse spur power supply.

      2. Depress and turn filter handle clockwise to waste position, to ensure there is water flow to backwash waste pipe.

      3. Depress and turn filter handle clockwise to back wash position.

      4. Wait until the water reduces by 2/3 and 1/3 left in the bath.

      5. Turn off bath fuse spur power supply.

      6. Turn the waste tap for bath being emptied and wait to fully empty under gravity.

      7. Clean the tub with fresh water and cloth, if using a chemical. Ensure fully rinsed before refilling.

      8. Turn the blue tap below the water main 90 degrees (Note – they are numbered for which bath you are filling).

      9. Then turn the water main tap on and fill bath so its halfway to the skimmer in the bath.

      10. Once filled – turn water main of first then turn the blue handle tap associated with the bath you are filling to its original position.

      11. Depress and turn filter handle anti clockwise to waste position.

      12. Wait for 3 minutes then depress and turn filter handle anti clockwise to back wash position.

      13. Turn bath power back on at fuse spur on back wall.

      14. Go to bath and visually check that the light is illuminated, and you can see water flowing inside the bath.

      15. Finally, once the above is completed and checked there is no water flow from the backwash waste pipe and turn the chiller fuse spur back on.
