HOME Ice Bath: Troubleshooting

Cloudy water

There are a number of potential reasons why the water in your bath may appear murky:

Blocked pre-filter

If the pre-filter gauze (that sits at the bottom of your bath) is blocked by debris and dirt, water will not be able to be sucked into the duel-filtration system to keep it clean). You should be wiping this pre-filter clean weekly.  If the pre-filter is particularly clogged with debris it can be unscrewed and removed to clean.

Particle filter change required

If it's been more than 4 weeks since you last changed your particle filter, it needs changing.  If you are not showering before using your bath,  dipping straight after a Sauna or wearing body cream or fake tan this will reduce the life of your filter substantially and you may need to change your filter more often.

Heavy use

Our residential bath's filtration system are designed for a couple of dips per day. If you have guests dipping in the bath multiple times a day, you'll need to Pro Grade product with filtration able to handle a high number of users per day.

Particle filter needs bleeding

If there is air trapped in the filter chamber, the particle filter won't be able to function properly. Place the bath in maintenance mode and bleed the filter.   When changing the filter, if it's dirty only at the bottom or half of the way up then it's an indication that there has been air trapped in your system.

Lost seal in bleed key

If you have a v2.0 bath, make sure that the air relief key still has its black seal intact, as this is crucial for maintaining the pressure in the filter housing.

If the black seal on the air relief key is missing, or damaged you can simply contact support@brassmonkey.co.uk to request a replacement.
